One brand new copy of Beggar Prince was given away for free, courtesy of
Super Fighter Team, as a prize for the winner of a videogame tournament.
Thanks to Rick Weis for arranging this, as we were unable to attend this
event personally.
Twelve people signed up for the tournament, which consisted of head to head
games of NBA Jam for the Sega Genesis. It seemed that everyone was rooting
for a young boy to win the contest, but he lost in the second round. His
father went all the way to the finals, but there was beaten by Jason Wilson,
who owned Beggar Prince already. However, Jason decided to give his prize to
the father of the young boy, so he could present it to his son. How classy!

The winners of the videogame tournament proudly display their prizes: one
brand new copy of Beggar Prince (donated by Super Fighter Team) and a
complete Sega Genesis videogame system.
